John Hall III
Hall, John Joseph III, died on July 22, 2017 surrounded by family.

John, is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Bartley (1988) and his second wife Dorothy Holmes (2008). He is survived by his 7 loving children Mary Ann (Keith) Pelot, Kirkwood, MO, Baldev (Gurukarm) Khalsa, Millis, MA, Meg Hall, Wheaton, IL, Betsy (Doug) Palkowsky, Round Top, TX, Tom (Berenice) Hall, Bagaces, Costa Rica, David (Susan) Hall, Austin, TX and Barbara Cripps, Kirkwood, MO, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. John also is survived by Dorothy’s family: including daughters Cindy Davis, Sherry Black and Barby Smith.

John, age 90, was born and raised in Clayton, MO. John (aka Bud) was a graduate of Clayton High School and St. Louis University School of Business. John was a successful salesman, devoted Boy Scout Leader, a proud Veteran of WWII (3rd Army Division) and will be remembered for his charming demeanor, wonderful laugh and positive outlook – he never met a person he could not befriend.

John will be interred at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO - Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 1:30 pm. A reception will follow at 3:00 pm at PI Pizzeria – 10935 Manchester Rd, Kirkwood, MO.

A special thanks to staff and volunteers at the Missouri Veteran’s Home – St. Louis for their patient and kind care for John during his last years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Louis Veterans’ Home Committee – 3905 Germania, St. Louis MO 63116 or on-line @
