Obituary for Mary Adolphsen (Braun)

Mary Louise Adolphsen (nee Braun) Born in Mars, Pennsylvania 1/1/1926 and passed on 9/9/2017. Beloved wife of 53 years to the late David Henry Adolphsen. Survived by her by younger brother John ‘Jack’ Braun (Janet), sister-in-law Grace Adolphsen Brame, two children, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The surviving children are Mark (Katheryn) Adolphsen-her sister Robyn McGrath and Keith Adolphsen. Her grandchildren are Mark ‘Bud’ Adolphsen, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Reed. Her great grandchildren include the children of Bud (Jamie) Adolphsen- Caitlin, Hannah and Madison and the children of Mary (Christopher John ‘CJ’) Reed- Naomi, Phoebe and Rachel. Earned her Bachelor’s degree from Thiel College, Greenville, PA in 1946; Master’s degree from Webster College, Webster Groves, MO in 1974. Educator for 24 years and retired from the Kirkwood School District (Nipher Middle School-Mathematics) on 6/13/1988.
Visitation 4-7 PM on 9/16/17 at Bopp Chapel of Kirkwood. Funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
