Obituary for Loran Cavano
Loran John Cavano, 58, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at his home in Webster Groves, MO. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Nancy (Brunner), his daughters Claire (Suneal Menzies) and Rae, and his granddaughter Amelia. Loran was born in Cleveland, OH, to Robert and Elizabeth Cavano, with three older brothers Robert (Jeanette), Lee (Sue), and Peter (Lurrie), and one younger sister Elizabeth Cavano.
He attended Rocky River High School in Cleveland, OH, and graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a degree in Physics, and from his fathers Alma Mater, Case Western Reserve, with a degree in Mathematics. He began his career in St. Louis, MO at McDonald Douglas (now Boeing) as an aerospace engineer, and continued since as a IT Data Architect at Purina for nearly 25 years.
Loran spent his time experiencing life with a great sense of humor, and enjoying great food, great music, great dogs, and great people. He was an avid cyclist, all star guitarist, fabulous chef, cigar aficionado, and animal lover.
To celebrate Loran's life, a visitation will be held at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd. Kirkwood, MO, on Sunday, November 5, from 4:00-8:00 pm
Memorial Mass will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 676 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, MO on Monday, November 6, at 10:00 am.
