Obituary for Marion Reuter (Donahue)

Marion Reuter (Donahue)
Marion Margaret Reuter (nee Donahue) fortified with the sacraments of the holy mother church, November 27th, 2017. Beloved wife of James Reuter for 50 years. Loving mother and mother-in-law of James (Shelley) Reuter, Gretchen (Andy) Harleman, and Libby (Mike) Ryan. Dearest Gammy of 9 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Marion Donahue, her brothers Charles and Christian Donahue, her sister Jane Donahue-Grandia, and her grandson Patrick Donahue Ryan.

Margie was born and raised in Needham, MA and never completely lost her accent. She graduated from Boston College and earned her M.S. in Nursing from St. Louis University. She was a nursing instructor at St. Louis Community College for over 30 years.

Mom was a master gardener and a second mother to many who always thought of others before herself. Her amusing pronunciations made many laugh and were legendary with her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday December 2nd 11:30-1:00 at St. Peter’s Church in Kirkwood, MO with mass immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Volunteers in Medicine St. Charles (www.volunteersinmedicinestcharles.org).
