Obituary for Leonard Richardt

Leonard Richardt
Leonard E. Richardt, 89, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Missouri Veterans Home in Mexico MO. He was born November 25, 1928 to Andrew and Opal Richardt in Webster Groves, MO. He graduated from Webster High School in 1946. Leonard enlisted in the Air Force in 1948, and served until 1952. He married Carol Spear October 25, 1952, and they resided in Kirkwood most of their life. They had two daughters, Gail and Cynthia. Carol preceded him in death February 14, 2014. Leonard was a devoted husband and father, always striving to provide his best for his family. His career as a professional engineer had him involved with many projects in the St Louis area. His favorite hobby was golfing with his foursome of close friends on Saturdays. Leonard is survived by sister, Delores Painter, and daughters Gail (Karl) Evans and Cynthia (Craig) Slaughter. Survivors also include grandchildren Tim (Shauna) and Jeffrey (Katie) Evans, Amanda (Clifton) Satterfield, Sarah (Alex) Franklin, Katie, Mark and Keith Slaughter, great grandchildren Malcolm and Charlotte Satterfield, Scarlett and Hattie Evans. In addition to his beloved wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, sister Leona Belt, and infant grandson. The family is grateful for the loving care he has received at the Veteran's Home.
Visitation will be at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood, Mo on Thurs., Dec. 7, 11:00 am, with services following at 12:00 noon. Burial will be at St. Lucas Cemetery in Sappington (Denny Rd. and Gravois).
Memorial contributions to Missouri Veteran's Home Mexico are appreciated.
